The Massac County Drug Awareness Coalition — a non-profit working to reduce substance use in Massac County — recently installed a Narcan distribution box inside Super Suds on 5th Street in Metropolis.

According to MCDA, the dispenser is available for use 24/7, and the Narcan — which can be used to reverse an opioid overdose — is free.
In July, The Egyptian Health Department Drug Overdose Prevention Program installed its first Narcan dispenser at the Saline County Jail in Harrisburg. It’s also available 24/7 and is free to use, no questions asked.
