Jurassic Quest says it represents a period spanning 165 million years −the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods.

Attendees "can expect to be thrown back in time," said a Jurassic Quest staffer known as Dino Trailer Suave.

"Jurassic Quest is very fun and educational and thrilling as well," he said. "There's a lot to learn when you come to Jurassic Quest."

Fun and intriguing dinosaur facts include that the gigantosaurus is believed to have been larger than the tyrannosaurus rex, commonly known as the T-Rex.

Many of the attractions are hands-on and interactive. Photo opportunities also will be available, including while perched on a dinosaur or with a digitized backdrop.

Activities also include an interactive raptor training experience, and petting one of three interactive puppet baby dinosaurs − Cammie the Camarasaurus, Tyson the T-Rex and Trixie the Triceratops. Families can go on a self-guided scavenger hunt.

Dinosaur exhibits are grouped in correlating eras.

Jurassic Quest touts itself as the largest traveling dinosaur show in North America.

Standing about 30 feet high and roughly 40 feet long, a robotic version of a T-Rex will be on display.

Also in Jurassic Quest's stable is a replica of the apatosaurus, which is tall enough to nearly touch the rafters of the Civic Center.
