It’s also not too slippery, meaning I’m not constantly falling off of it during the night in the name of stopping skin creases and split ends,” commerce writer Smith says. “I’m paranoid about hair loss, and I used to notice hairs on my regular cotton pillowcase in the morning. Since switching to silk, that’s mostly stopped; I can’t tell if it’s correlation or causation, but I’m happy either way. The velvety-smooth feel holds up after multiple washes. “It’s cooler and less wrinkle-prone than a ton of other options I’ve felt,” Smith says, “and I love that the only external branding is an unmarked piece of ribbon sewn to the envelope closure.
