In our research, it scored top marks for its invoicing and schedule and dispatch features, netting a 5/5 in both categories of our research.
Housecall Pro does suffer from a lack of customization options in certain situations, but it's worth it for ease of use. Plus, with a number of mobile options, you'll be able to manage your pest control business on-the-go with ease. Simply put, HouseCall Pro is popular for good reason.
You can choose from three different pricing plans with Housecall Pro: Basic, Essentials, and Max. The Basic plan costs $49 per month and the Essentials plan costs $129 per month. For information about the Max plan, you'll have to reach out to their sales team for a custom quote.
Housecall Pro does not have a free plan, but it does offer a 14-day free trial, so you can test out the platform before making a financial commitment.
ServSuite by FieldRoutes is dedicated to making your pest control business easier to run. It has smart features such as route optimization, payment management, and marketing services. In our research, it boasted some of the most robust invoicing features, even better than Housecall Pro.
However, ServSuite might be a lot more expensive than Housecall Pro, and it scored lower when it came to its mobile app and online customer booking features, so it's easy to see why it fell to the second spot behind the more popular option.
Unlike Housecall Pro, ServSuite does not offer public pricing against its plans, and requires you to request a quote. Prior to its acquisition by ServiceTitan in 2021, it offered three different pricing plans — Starter, Plus, and Pro — at $126, $186, and $339 per month respectively. This indicates it may cost your business more than Housecall Pro, however for the latest pricing information you should request a quote. There is no free trial with ServSuite, but you can get a free demo from the provider.
While the price might be quite high, ServSuite is a classic “you get what you paid for,” offering some of the best invoicing and customer support options on this list.
With GorillaDesk, you know you're getting a top quality pool service management software, even if the name and logo are a bit silly. Our research found that GorillaDesk scored a perfect 5/5 in scheduling, dispatching, invoicing, and customer support, making it one of the best options available.
There is a catch, though, that prevented GorillaDesk from being our top pick, and that's its online customer booking features. With no real-time booking, Housecall Pro and ServSuite both have the advantage of GorillaDesk, which only scored a 3/5 in that category. Still, don't let it dissuade you from considering GorillaDesk for your business, because it is a great option at a lower price.
Speaking of price, GorillaDesk features only two pricing plans: Basic and Pro. The Basic plan starts at $49 per month and the Pro plan starts at $99 per month.
We say “starts at” because GorillaDesk pricing is based on the number of routes. Subsequently, the price goes up for each route you add. You can add up to ten for a listed price on their website, but after that you'll have to contact the sales team for more information.
This field service software definitely has an edge, offering some competitive features with a unique pricing model. FieldEdge scored highly in our research when it comes to scheduling, dispatching, and invoicing, hitting the perfect 5/5 in all categories.
FieldEdge isn't perfect, though. In fact, the mobile app is a big hit against it, with reviewers noting that it regularly has connectivity problems, despite being equipped to work offline. The App Store and Play Store ratings reflect this, so be sure you don't need a mobile app too badly if you go with FieldEdge.
FieldEdge pricing is not publicly available, so you will have to actually contact the sales team for the provider to find out exactly how much it will cost you to get set up.
FieldEdge does mention on its website that the field service management software utilizes flat-rate pricing model, so you won't have to worry about cost too much. Still, what that price is remains a mystery until you reach out.
When it comes pest control, you might be inclined to check out an industry specific option like PestPac by WorkWave. After all, it has excellent invoicing features, scoring a 5/5 in our research, and the schedule and dispatch features are solid as well, competing with the likes of ServSuite in that category.
However, PestPac by WorkWave hits some pretty low scores when it comes to online customer booking, lacking the ability to book on a website, on Google, or in real time, which netted it a 2/5 in our research. Additionally, the customer support and mobile app leave a lot to be desired, but as a pest control specific service software, you could do a lot work.
Like many other options on this list, PestPac by WorkWave does not offer publicly available pricing, so you'll have to request a quote for your business to move forward. PestPac also doesn't offer a free trial, but you can get a free demo to learn more about the service without having to pay for it.
If you're a bit confused, WorkWave is the all-in-one, broad industry field service management, while PestPac from WorkWave is the pest control specific option. Simply put, WorkWave can be used for any field service business, whereas PestPac is specifically designed for pest control companies.
While PestPac is the pest control specific option from WorkWave, the standalone WorkWave software will also provide a viable option for your business. The online customer booking features still aren't great, but it adds a bit more functionality when it comes to scheduling and dispatch and customer support, scoring a 4/5 in both categories of our research.
Like PestPac, WorkWave does not provide concrete pricing numbers publicly, so the only way to find out how much it costs is to reach out via the website. There's also no free trial, but a free demo is available, so you can see the software in action before you actually buy it.
Last but certainly not least, Jobber is another popular option that can help your pest control business get a bit more organized. It scored perfectly on scheduling and dispatching features, and it offers a comprehensive mobile app, scoring a 4/5 in that category of our research.
Unfortunately, Jobber falls pretty short on customer support and online customer booking, receiving a 3/5 in both options, which impacted its overall score. Still, the easy-to-use interface makes these missing features not seem too terrible, which is why we'd still recommend checking it out for your business.

The Lite plan costs $19 per month, Core plan costs $49 per month, the Connect plan costs $129 per month, and the Grow plan costs $249 per month. Jobber also offers a 14-day free trial, so you can get used to the software on your own time.
Jobber pricing ranges substantially compared to other providers, which makes it perfect if you're interested in growing and scaling with the platform. It offers one of the cheapest starter plans and one of the most expensive enterprise level plans, so you can really find one that fits your needs.
It's fair to think that having a pest control specific software would provide a better service for your business. After all, they must have some kind of expertise that other, broader providers don't have, right?
Well, as far as our research is concerned, no such advantage exists, as all-in-one field service management software providers typically offer more features, better customer support, and overall improved functionality compared to industry-specific options.
There are occasionally helpful tools that make them a better option, like chemical tracking for pest control providers, but overall, the feature catalogs and expertise of support teams makes it a better value to go broad rather than specific.
